Irkutsk Oncologists Participate in the First Annual Asian-Pacific Congress
On June 30th, 2016 professor Viktoria Dvornichenko, the Chief Physician of Irkutsk Regional Cancer Dispensary, MD, honoured physician of Russian Federation, took part in the First Annual Asian-Pacific Congress of Kyungpook National University Medical Center (Daegu, Republic of Korea).
The participants showed a keen interest in the Chief Physician’s presentation on the topic: «Medical Treatment Arrangement of Malignant Growths in Irkutsk Region», which presented the possibilities of oncology patients’ treatment in Irkutsk Region. The Cancer dispensary work was declared complete and effective.
Topics discussed in the Congress program:
• Prevention, diagnostics and treatment of cancer diseases;
• International cooperation in medical sphere;
• Joint clinical studies and projects in the field of further development;
• Modern medical technologies and Kyungpook National University Medical Center experience.
The First International Asian-Pacific Congress of Kyungpook National University Medical Center is devoted to the role of science in the medical practice. The congress topics were widely discussed during experience exchange and ideas for opening new possibilities in cancer treatment.
On the second day of the Congress, the round table session was held with the participation of the leading oncologists of China, India, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Slovenia, Vietnam and Russia, represented by the Chief Physician of Irkutsk Regional Cancer Dispensary, MD, professor Viktoria Dvornichenko. In her comment she has underlined: «International cooperation in the medical diagnostics development of cancer patients treatment gives the impact for implementing new methods and knowledge in our dispensary practice».
At the end of the Congress, Irkutsk Region Healthcare Ministry, Irkutsk Regional Cancer Dispensary (Irkutsk, Russia) and Kyungpook National University Medical Center (Daegu, Republic of Korea) have signed the memorandum of understanding with the aim to develop cooperation in the field of education, scientific research and medical education.
