Irkutsk oncologist’s work won the highest award
III All-Russian Conference of Young Scientists "Modern Problems of Surgery and Surgical Oncology," was held at a place of special significance for the Russian surgery - at the A.V. Vishnevsky’s Moscow Institute of Surgery. It was attended by Irkutsk specialists from Regional Cancer Center.
Andrei Muratov with his work "Replantation of kidney in retroperitoneal sarcomas surgery" took first place in it, while Andrey Yudin with the report "Evaluation of the liver densitometric value and metastatic foci for standardization of CT-volumetry" - the fourth place. Both of them are students of professor Rodion Rasulov, the head of the cancer department of surgical treatment No. 7, at Regional Cancer Center.
- This conference is the product of fruitful cooperation in science and practice field of young professionals from various surgical schools of Russia. Our top priority today is to attract young people to the profession, to show that research in surgery has not just theoretical, but also a significant practical importance, - said professor Amiran Revishvili, director of the A.V. Vishnevsky’s Institute of Surgery, academician, doctor of medical sciences.
