  • "My second life" took the "Golden Ray"

    “My Second Life”, the five-part series that was released on a day before the World Breast Cancer Day on TLC, has won the Golden Ray award in the nomination “The best informative and journalistic program of non-air TV”.

    During the five episodes of “My Second Life” movie, the audience has met four Irkutsk women of different ages and different professions who lived their regular lives until they were diagnosed with breast cancer. For each of the characters in the project, the news came as a shock, but they did not give up, they accepted the challenge and, with the help of doctors, defeated the disease. When the cancer retreated, the project participants decided on one more step - to have the beauty of the breasts restored. Thanks to reconstructive operations, modern implants and the professionalism of the doctors, each of the heroines has regained confidence in herself.

    “For many decades of work in oncology, this is the first case in my practice when patients agreed to publicly tell about their illness and its treatment,” emphasizes the head physician of the Regional Cancer Center, MD, professor Victoria Dvornichenko. - And even more than that - these women gave permission to film and show the performed operations and their results.

    Filmed within the walls of the Irkutsk oncology center, the series found not only their way to the hearts of ordinary viewers, but also have received the approval of the Golden Ray jury - this award was established in 2009 by the National Association of Television and Radio Broadcasters for non-air thematic TV channels broadcasted via satellite, cable and Internet operators in Russian language in Russia and abroad. It should be noted that the professional national award jury consists of masters of the national journalism and public figures. In 2018, it was joined by president of the National Association of TV and Radio Broadcasters Eduard Sagalayev, editor of the Culture and TV Department of the Russian Newspaper – “Nedelya” Susanna Alperina, general producer of Format TV, Oksana Barkovskaya, director of the TNT4 TV Channel, general producer of Comedy Radio, creative producer “Match Premier " Gavriil Gordeyev, TV presenter, general producer of Channel One. Worldwide network Dmitry Borisov, chief editor of the TV channel“ Karusel ” Vera Obolonkina and other recognized authorities of the industry.
