Cancer Center was visited by the delegation from Heilongjiang Province
In the near future, Irkutsk Regional Cancer Center's experience will be adopted by the doctors from the Heilongjiang province of China. The agreement for that was reached while the Chinese guests were visiting the Center.
The delegation headed by Mr. Zhao Chzhunhou, chief of the Heilongjiang Province healthcare and family planning committee, arrived in Irkutsk to take part in the first Sino-Russian scientific and practical forum in the healthcare field, experience and innovative medical technology exchange. In the event's framework, doctors from China visited the largest medical organizations of Angara region, including Regional Cancer Center. At the Center they have watched a video presentation about the work of Cancer Center, learned statistical data and had a tour around the main offices and hospital units.
Visitors were particularly impressed by the high performance of Irkutsk doctors. For example, in the department of image-guided surgery methods they were very surprised by the youth and professionalism of doctor Elena Tyumentseva, and it took them some time to believe that on that day she performed four chemoembolization operations. And the director of the Harbin Children's Hospital Ms. Ding Feng Shui took note of the "quality equipment" and that “the clinic rooms are very comfortable and clean”. At the end of visit the head of Chinese delegation Mr. Zhao Chzhunhou addressed the administration of the Center with a request to receive the chief oncologist of Heilongjiang province with the aim to learn about the best practices in the treatment of tumor neoplasms.
