The Baikal Chemotherapists Forum has continued for two days

The 1st Baikal Forum of chemotherapists, which took place in Irkutsk, had started a whole cycle of such events and is a part of the national project “Healthcare” in the context of the cancer control program. Within the framework of this conference, the chemotherapeutic treatment issues of malignant neoplasms of various localizations and current problems in the national oncology implementation program were discussed.

- The main goal of such scientific conferences is to bring the most up-to-date information about the new possibilities in cancer treatment to the doctors as quickly as possible. The regions have a high demand for this kind of information, because in Siberia and the Far East information flows are way less saturated than in Moscow, “said Yulia Lyubashenko, a Medforum employee, the technical organizer of the forum. - And today, the country has launched a federal project "Oncological diseases control 2018-2024” within the framework of the national project "Healthcare". A large sum of money has been allocated for this project: it will allow the best medicine to be purchased - accordingly, doctors need to be aware of all the new products on the pharmacological market.

            

The forum features products of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies: Bayer, Pfizer, Novartis, Sanofi, Eisai and others. The guests and attendees of the conference were not only Irkutsk oncologists, but also their colleagues from Novosibirsk, Tomsk and other cities. The audience was presented with reports from the best chemotherapists of the country from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Chelyabinsk, Samara, Krasnoyarsk and Irkutsk, including such stars as the head of the chemotherapy department of the Moscow National Pediatric Medical Institute of P.A. Gertsen - branch of the FSBI “NMITS of radiology” of the Health Ministry of Russia, MD, Larisa Bolotina and the head of the surgical department of the upper respiratory tumors and digestive tracts of FSBI “NMITS of oncology of N.N. Blokhin” of the Health Ministry of Russia, MD, Ali Mudunov. Among the speakers were employees of the Regional Oncological Center: the head of the chemotherapy department Dmitry Ponomarenko, and the chemotherapy department oncologist Denis Yukalchuk.
